‘The White Lotus’ Season 2 Premiere Summary – New Guests, New Destination, Darker Tones

Season two of the anthology series packs more star power

It has been over a year since the Primetime Emmy Award-winning series The White Lotus premiered. The star-studded series takes place in the titular holiday resort where mysterious things happen. The series is now back with its second season, and the premiere was last night. Let’s take a look at how it went.

The location has changed from Hawaii to the beautiful coastline of Sicily. However, the beauty fades away soon enough. Daphne (Meghann Fahy) is taking a dip in the water before finishing up her stay at The White Lotus. However, she sees something in the water and, feeling scared, swims off as fast as possible.

Within a short time, other guests at The White Lotus also see several dead bodies coming ashore. The hotel manager Valentina (Sabrina Impacciatore) learns about this and says the water is not hotel property, but at the same time, such an event cannot be covered from the outside world. This was the introduction. We are then taken a week before the tragedy and see guests arriving by boat at the resort. A scene from the first season, where employees greet them as they disembark, is shown – a tradition of the resort.
