The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder : Disney+ Releases the First Trailer for the Popular Reboot Family Show

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder will be arriving on February 2022

Disney+ had massive announcements during the Disney+ Day event, where they gave us first looks on many of their upcoming movies and shows. And among them is a reboot on one of the most popular families ever. It’s The Proud FamilyLouder and Prouder and as the name suggests, they’re louder and prouder than ever.

The original series premiered in 2001, and ran for two seasons across four years, quickly becoming one of the best and most-viewed animated series in the network. It then released The Proud Family Movie to serve as a conclusion. However, Disney announced that they will be reviving the show in February 2020.

In a first-look trailer of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, we got to see the family’s life in the suburbs, as well as the daily shenanigans they get into.

All the main cast members from the 2001 series and 2005 movie has returned with some guest cameos. We have Kayla Pratt returns as Penny Proud, the show’s main protagonist, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Penny’s overprotective dad, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, Penny’s mom and Oscar’s wife, Jo Marie Payton as Suga Mama, Penny’s hip grandmother and Oscar’s mother/adversary, Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer, Penny’s geeky friend, and Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez, a frenemy to Penny.

The guest stars include  Tiffany HaddishLizzoBretman RockGabrielle UnionLil Nas X, with more expected to star in the reboot The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.

Disney has made sure to get as many as the original cast and crew together as they possibly can, with creator Bruce W. Smith set to be an executive producer on the show. Ralph Farquhar, who was the executive producer in the original will return to executive produce, along with Calvin Brown Jr.
