SNOOP DOGG with MOUNT WESTMORE Teases About ‘BIG SUBWOOFER’

The track will be part of the upcoming compilation, Snoop Dogg Presents the Algorithm

Mount Westmore is a whole new West Coast rap supergroup with members Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40, and Too Short. The group has just released a new song, called “Big Subwoofer.” The song will be part of the upcoming compilation, Snoop Dogg Presents the Algorithm.

Jesse Wellens and Sam Macaroni directed the music video, which has the rappers travelling in a spaceship and chilling with aliens in an unknown planet. The foursome travel through the galaxy in a cruiser pimped out with dual subwoofers on the side. While E-40, Ice Cube, and Too $short are in their everyday attire, Snoop goes a step ahead and dresses up like the Mandalorian, with a few extra touches. They are accompanied by alien dancers, including ones that are from James Cameron’s Avatar. The song resembles an old-school rap, with none of the modern mumble jumble.

Snoop Dogg actually has a connection to the Disney+ series as his cousin, WWE Superstar Sasha Banks (real name Mercedes Varnado) is in the show. Banks starred as Koska Reeves in the second season.

The Algorithm is Snoop’s first project for Def Jam Recordings as executive creative consultant. Snoop’s new album will feature artists from Def Jam’s past, present, and future. He plans to change the current algorithm of what we hear today. Snoop said that the current algorithm tells us how to rap, or how to sound, but they’re not telling you how it’s supposed to feel. He wants to give a feeling, not sound.

Snoop also promised that he will help the artists and give them love, wisdom, guidance, and understanding.
