The actor will have a hearing in March
Tron: Legacy actor Garrett Hedlund was arrested Saturday night in Tennessee for public intoxication and taken to Franklin County jail.
He was later released on a $2100 bond according to a report from TMZ. News of the arrest comes a day after he and Emma Roberts decided to break up. No further reports were heard from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
Garrett Hedlund was previously arrested for driving under the influence in January 2020, and was caught in a serious crash. The accident involved a mother and daughter who claimed that they were “severely injured” and filed a lawsuit against the actor earlier this week. Hedlund’s blood alcohol level at the time was four time more than the legal limit, which was .36%. The plaintiffs have requested for punitive damages and a jury trial.
The actor is currently filming a movie called The Ploughmen, which tells the story of a friendship between a deputy sheriff and a murderer. The movie is written and directed by Oscar-nominated actor Ed Harris.
Garrett Hedlund and Emma Roberts began dating in March 2019, and welcomed their only child Rhodes Robert Hedlund in December 2020. Roberts had been regularly updating her Instagram feed with pictures of their baby. The couple split up following a few rocky months in their relationship, and are now doing their best to co-parent, an insider states. The couple celebrated Rhodes’ first birthday last month with a rodeo-themed party as well.
In other news, Hedlund is now officially in Instagram and also released his first single ‘The Road’ following his split from Emma.
