Garrett Hedlund was previously arrested for driving under the influence in January 2020, and was caught in a serious crash. The accident involved a mother and daughter who claimed that they were “severely injured” and filed a lawsuit against the actor earlier this week. Hedlund’s blood alcohol level at the time was four time more than the legal limit, which was .36%. The plaintiffs have requested for punitive damages and a jury trial.

The actor is currently filming a movie called The Ploughmen, which tells the story of a friendship between a deputy sheriff and a murderer. The movie is written and directed by Oscar-nominated actor Ed Harris.
