The series aired its fifth and final season on USA Network between April and June 2021
Queen of the South is one of the most popular TV series to come out of USA Network, and the story got considerably better with each season. The series wasn’t supposed to end with the fifth season, but sadly that’s the case.
The production got delayed due to the pandemic, and it aired on USA Network from April to June 2021. There were 13 episodes originally intended for season 5, but that got shortened to 10.
Netflix premiere status
Each season of the show arrived on Netflix a year after it originally airs. Season 1 came on May 9, 2017, season 2 came on May 22, 2018, and season 3 on May 7, 2019. The more recent Season 4 came to the streamer on June 6, 2020.
Since season 5 aired earlier this year, we cannot expect it to hit Netflix in 2021. If we follow its usual pattern, season 5 won’t arrive until March or April 2022, an year after its original premiere.
