Keep yourself entertained till the new year’s with these entertainers
Christmas is a season that’s loved even by those who don’t celebrate it, and there are a lot more movies related to Christmas than any other festival. It’s a norm for many families to have a list of classics they watch every year, but this time make sure to add some new titles to the list. Let’s get down to it then.
1. It’s a Wonderful Life
This 1946 Frank Capra fantasy is a must watch during the season or any other time. We see the life of George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) who was on the verge of committing suicide, when an angel visits him and shows him the true meaning of life.
2. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
A trilogy rarely makes a mark, but this one surely did. Follow the mishap-ridden Griswold family as they bring in the new year with their family get-together.
3. A Christmas Story
This movie can be very nostalgic for most of us. It follows nine-year-old Ralphie Parker (Peter Billinglsey) who is adamant in wanting an air rifle for Christmas. I’m sure even if you don’t search for the movie online, you can watch it on some networks on television.
4. Bad Santa
A dark comedy about a thieving duo who decides to rob a mall after dressing up as Santa and his elf, but their motives change after meeting an eight-year-old boy. Starring Billy Bob Thornton, the movie is hilarious and it’s sequel is worth checking out as well.
5. The Nightmare Before Christmas
We can’t really say if this Tim Burton classic fits better for Christmas or Halloween, but since Santa is involved (even though he’s just a skeleton), let’s go with Christmas. It’s creepy and wonderful and people from all ages will enjoy it.
