The newlywed pop singer Justin Bieber is in the headlines again but for all the bad reasons. This time it’s about his two adorable Savannah cats, which he bought for $3500, purchased from the Select Exotics, an Illinois based breeder.
He named them Sushi and Tuna and opened an official page for these adorable furry animals; the page also gains more than two-lakhs followers in no-time.
The senior vice president of PETA, Lisa Lange, has better advice for Bieber. She says ” Justin Beiber could inspire his fans around the world to save a life by adopting a cat from a local animal shelter rather than fueling the dangerous demand for hybrid cats, contributing to the animal overpopulation crisis, and proving that when it comes to helping animals, his stance so far is ‘I don’t care'”.
It seems People for the Ethical Treatment Of Animals a.k.a PETA is not keen on Beiber’s this step.
Justin Bieber also couldn’t take harm to his cat and reply back to PETA through his Instagram story and tell them to focus on more real problems like poaching and animal brutality. He concluded his post is saying, “Peta go help with all of the plastic in the ocean and leave my beautiful cats alone.”
Interestingly Bieber’s cats are not any other cat breed; they belong to Savannah breed, which is a crossbreed of several and domestic cats. They are banned at most places and legally restricted in the U.S several states, including Massachusetts, New York, Texas, Georgia, Idaho, Vermont, Nebraska, and Rhode Island.
