The actor and the director stepped up before the rumours got blown out of proportion
After the Justice League‘s Snyder Cut, which is director Zack Snyder’s own work before Warner Bros hired Joss Whedon to do reshoots, was announced to premiere in HBO Max next year, many discussions arose surrounding the movie. One of these was whether Ryan Reynolds would reprise his role as Green Lantern.

Is there a Green Lantern in the Snyder Cut?
We already know that the Snyder Cut is going to be very different from what we saw in theatres in 2017. As an announcement for the movie’s release, Zack released a 30-second clip in which Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman was staring at an ancient portrait of Darkseid, and that alone seemed more scary than the entire Justice League movie.

We also got to see a small clip last week where Superman was wearing his black suit. Now the question remains if Green Lantern is indeed appearing in the movie. Snyder is active on Vero and when a fan asked him the question, Snyder answered by saying that a lantern corps led by Hal Jordan appeared in the movie and had an important part to play. The role was played by a lesser known actor named Sam Benjamin. The part was cut out by Whedon, but we are hopeful we get to see the lanterns light up the sky in the Snyder Cut.

Meanwhile Reynolds, with his classic wit, made his own trailer called the “Reynolds Cut” which was funny from start to end. Check out his Instagram if you haven’t seen it.
