The post-divorce battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard gets more intense with pictures coming out of a bloody and burned Depp, who claimed that Heard abused him. According to the allegations, Amber Heard put a cigarette on the right cheek of the 56-year-old star and threw a bottle at him that severed his finger while in a fight with him in 2015.
Heard’s legal representative pointed out that the leaked pictures mean nothing and are an attempt to deflect the attention and blame from Depp to Heard. Heard filed for divorce against the actor on account of domestic violence, and in the divorce, proceedings have stated that Depp inflicted physical and ongoing psychological abuse on her. Depp has called 36-year-old Heard’s accusations as fake and filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against her. According to Depp, Amber Heard started fighting when she overheard Johnny’s intention of entering into a post-nuptial agreement.

The leaked image shows Depp laying on a stretcher with his ‘severed’ finger on a green veil and cigarette burn on his right cheek, in an Australian hospital after the alleged fight. Johnny Depp’s legal representatives are using the pictures to prove that instead of Heard, it was Depp who was the actual victim of domestic violence. The attorneys have also raised questions about how Rupert Murdoch’s tabloid the Sun has been helping Heard by publishing hoax-enabling articles and calling Depp a ‘wife-beater.’ “Does the #metoo movement care about male victims too?” asked Adam Waldman, Johnny Depp’s attorney. Eric George, Heard’s attorney, claimed against such claims stating, “allegation is absurd, offensive and categorically untrue.”

The media drama around the two will not end soon. The couple has been divorced since 2017. The defamation lawsuit is unlikely to be quickly settled.
