Emmys Awards 2019 saw many nominations and winners. The 71st Primetime Emmy Awards honouring television artists was held at Microsoft Theatres in Los Angeles on a Sunday evening. Particularly, the Game of Thrones stars illuminated the evening with their presence.
Game of Thrones ended in May this year with a controversial ending to its eighth season. Obviously, the show received wide acclaim from its fans and is beloved to all the audience. But it is our opinion the show ended too soon.
The HBO fantasy show was nominated in 32 categories, winning two cast awards and 10 Emmys technical, creative awards. Although the evening saw the cast unite, it was not enough for the fans and seems like not even for the cast.
Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Lena Headey, Gwendoline Christie, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Carice van Houton, and Peter Dinklage blessed us with their presence. Firstly, they dazzled even in beautiful gowns and splendid tuxedos while they can also pull off their GOT looks.
The show won awards for its final season in Outstanding Drama Series category and Outstanding Supporting Actor category, Peter Dinklage. Moreover, it is the fourth time that Peter has been appreciated for his role with an award.
The reunion left fans feeling all warm and goofy with the surfaced selfies. Alfie Allen posted a selfie with the whole cast sans Kit Harrington. But, we think it was too soon for fans who are trying to get over their depression of GOT ends.
Clearly, the selfies reflect the bond and level of trust developed between the colleagues turned friends.
First of all, Sophie Turner is seen smiling broadly, encouraging others to take part in her joy. While Maisie Williams puts beside her cupping her face and show how cute she is. Subsequently, Emilia Clarke, like the mother of the dragon she is, stands in the middle with a sheepish smile. Honestly, how adorable could they be?!!
Allen posted more fun selfies with Maisie Williams and other cast members. We have got only a small dose to cure us of our GOT depression, and we hope that more reunions and hilarious antics of the cast would help us move on from GOT.
