While working in the fashion industry, Gigi Hadid has been through many ins and outs. But just at the age of 24, the model has closed and opened the biggest runway shows and fronted advertising campaign from Guess to Chanel. She also helped to design blockbuster collections with Tommy Hilfiger. And now, she is going to add a new credit to her resume.
The LVMH Prize for Young Designers is ready for its 7th edition. It announced nine new professional names who have been inducted to their panel of 59 judges. These luxury experts have established themselves in media, retail, technology, and other fields that embrace the fashion business.
In a statement, the Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton, Delphine Arnaultintroduced them as witnesses and essential actors of fashion. Their vision will help them to discover the most promising talents. He thank them warmly for their loyalty and commitment to the cause. Arnault appreciated the LVMH group for being a real support for young creatives. He is pleased to see the growth of the LVMH Prize since its launch in 2013.
Other names than Hadid include Moda Operandi’s Lauren Santo Domingo, activist Sinéad Burk, Matches Fashion’s Natalie Kingham, and a various number of journalists and stylists. Each of them will surely bring their experience to the table and will judge a pool of talented, burgeoning designers. Although she is much younger than the other inductees, Hadid is certainly not lacking in know-how.
Before this, she has worked side by side with the best and brightest, presumably taking notes on how to design a collection and run a successful business. In addition, she holds tremendous influence on social media platforms and is really able to help nascent brands gain reputation. It is a major factor which makes the LVMH Prize for Young Designers is highly coveted.
