Christina Aguilera quit touring because she got ‘really scared’ that her kids wouldn’t have ‘routines and structure’ in their lives.
The ‘Beautiful’ hitmaker – who has five-year-old daughter, Summer Rain with fiance Matt Rutler and 11-year-old son, Max Liron with ex-husband Jordan Bratman – opened up about how she found it challenging to balance being a pop superstar and a mom when she was on the road constantly.
Speaking to Kelly Clarkson on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, she admitted that she was scared. She had no idea how people maintain balance. She knows kids need routines and structure. She asked herself how she would do that because she is in different time zones every night with things changing now and then.
The ‘Fighter’ hitmaker previously revealed that she feels touring less ‘narcissistic’ when her children come along with her. She agreed that it was a lot of extra work. She hesitated in the beginning because it felt nothing better than juggling.
She told about the time when she was 21 touring to all different places when everything she did and thought was only about her. But now, she is a mom. She has kids to look after. The time has changed, now she thinks about ‘blankies and the favorite stuff and even the mom stuff’.
