Angry Birds 2 to hit theaters soon? Things To Remember Before Watching?

Angry Birds is going to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The Angry Birds game was first launched on September 20, 2009. This year on the very same day, Sony is going to release the sequel of the movie Angry Birds. On Monday, the studio has announced that it was re-collaborating with the Rovio Entertainment based in Finland for the sequel of Angry Birds Movie.

Angry Birds 2 is going to release on 14th August in the USA.

Angry Birds movie grossed over $350 million around the globe. These statistics are also included with domestic sales, which contribute about $107 million. Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly have directed the Angry Birds movie. In August 2018, Rovio Entertainment had announced that it had launched the development of the sequel of Angry Birds movie but did not give any information as to if Sony is going to be involved again or not.

Later it was announced that Sony Pictures Imageworks is going to take care of the animation of the film and will be under the collaboration of Sony Pictures Animation. Kati Levoranta, CEO of Rovio Entertainment, said that her team was excited to team with Sony Pictures again after the fantastic success they had together. She added that she was looking forward as to where the journey Angry Birds 2 is going to lead the collaboration.

This time the Angry Birds 2 movie is going to be directed by Thurop Van Orman. Thurop Van Orman credits have included “Adventure Time” and “The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.” Thurop Van Orman has recently worked on projects under Sony Pictures Animation and Disney.

The Angry Birds movie was produced by John Cohen who also produced “Despicable Me”. The sequel of Angry Birds movie is also going to be produced by John Cohen. The script of the Angry Birds movie sequel is being written by Peter Ackerman.
