Season 3 is also going to be made by Studio Deen, like the two previous seasons.

The story is about how thirty thousand Japanese players who were playing a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, popularly known as an MMORPG, called Elder Tale gets sucked into the game during an update and end up becoming their in-game avatars. Our protagonist is one such person who gets sucked in. His name’s Shirou, a guy who is good at gaming but bad when it comes to actual human interactions. He ends up in the world with his friends Akatsuki and Naotsugu and teams up to take on this virtual nightmare. Together, they face and overcome many obstacles.

Season 3’s plot hasn’t been revealed yet but it will be picking up from where season 2 ended and will be covering the 12th volume of the light novel it was inspired from. We will be seeing a lot more fighting and new fantasy worlds however, and your favourite characters from the previous seasons will be returning.
