A Discovery of Witches: The Highly Anticipated Season 2 Might Return in Latter Part of 2020

The British television series will be premiering sometime in 2020

A Discovery of Witches had been an instant hit with the audiences since it released in 2018. It has been created by Bad Wolf and Sky Productions and went on to be one of the most watched shows on the Sky One Network.

Due to season one’s success, the show got renewed for its second season. The plot for the second season will be based on the book, “Shadows of the Night” and if a season three ever gets made, it will be based on the book, “Book of Life.”

Currently, there is very limited information regarding season two’s release. As for the release date, no official announcements have been given. What we do know is that the shooting started in July 2019, and has probably wrapped up by now. Therefore it is expected to premiere in the latter half of 2020.

The cast will include Palmer and Goode as Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont, Alex Kingston as Sarah Bishop, Daniel Ezra as Nathaniel Wilson, Aisling Loftus as Sophie Norman, Aiysha Hart as Miriam Shepherd and Edward Bluemel as Marcus Whitmore.

The series will follow Diana Bishop, who is a witch who has given up on magic and anything related to sorcery after her parents’ death but soon comes across a book that changes her life. The show is a fantasy romance drama between a her and a vampire (played by Goode) who comes to her aid in unravelling the mysteries of the book. While she doesn’t trust vampires, Bishop still decides to team up with him to solve the mysteries behind the artifact.

Let’s hope that all goes well for season 2 and that we will get to see it in this year.
