3 Body Problem is a sci-fi drama based on Liu’s epic trilogy. The story has humanity discovering that they are not the only beings in the universe. If Netflix follows a proper adaptation, then the first part of the series will tell the story of Ye Wenjie. Ye discovers that her father got killed by the Red Guards during the cultural revolution. In her quest for revenge, she helps aliens invade Earth, as did many other factions of Earth.

Netflix is yet to release the synopsis. We can expect it to start once filming begins.
