Hawkeye – Kate Bishop actress Hailee Steinfeld speaks about her excitement in playing the character

Steinfeld will now be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Hawkeye coming to Disney+ in November

Hailee Steinfeld can’t contain her excitement for the release of Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye on Disney+. Marvel has split Phase 4 into both movies and tv shows, with every show getting great reviews. Firstly, it was WandaVision, followed by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and the currently airing What If…?

Marvel will go back to live-action shows after What If…? with Hawkeye premiering on November 24. Jeremy Renner will reprise his role of Clint Barton/ Hawkeye, and Steinfeld will be his apprentice, Kate Bishop.

About Kate Bishop

Hawkeye
Marvel Studios

Kate Bishop was introduced in the comics in 2005, and was instantly a fan favourite. For instance, My Life As a Weapon (2013), featuring both Barton and Bishop was one of the best Hawkeye comics. The story was about Barton’s first meeting with Bishop and training her with Lucky, the Pizza Dog.

Therefore, there could be a chance that Marvel Studios might be adapting from this story. Both Bishop and Lucky will debut in the MCU with this. Even though the main plot is still under wraps, we can assume that Bishop will earn the next title of Hawkeye.

The cast

Hawkeye

Hawkeye stars Vera Farmiga as Eleanor, Kate’s mother, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, and Fra Fre, who will all be making their MCU debuts. Florence Pugh will return as Yelena Belova, who is on a quest for vengeance and will likely face off against Barton.

Hawkeye had been an integral part of the Avengers since 2012, but didn’t get a major role yet. This will be our chance to see more about the character and finally, see a new hero rise.

Following What If…?‘s finale in early October, there will not be any Marvel content until The Eternals release on November 5th.
