Quite the long family vacation there….
Celebrity couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are having the longest family holiday ever as they had gone on spring break before the government issued orders to self isolate and practice social distancing. Ripa addressed her family’s decision to stay together during a video conference with the ABC staff.
She spoke about how things throughout the world changed, just three days into their vacation and how everything was closed. They were actually stranded there until transport became available.

She then talked about how it was going to be back to work after their two-week vacation, but since everything happened, she and her co-host Ryan Seacrest decided to do their show Live With Kelly and Ryan from their respective residences and chat with guests through video calls. Similar fashions are now being followed by other talk show hosts Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Fallon, and Stephen Colbert. Ripa addressed that it would be better to do the show and bring a little normalcy into their lives amid the crisis. Initially fans thought she had been recording from her home in Manhattan until she revealed that they were actually still at the Caribbeans.

Then, she spoke about how it’s difficult for people to be away from their loved ones for such prolonged times. She spoke about how grateful she was that they had they three children, Michael, 22, Lola, 18, and Joaquin, 17 with them.
Recently, Ripa and Consuelos also celebrated their eldest son Michael graduating from the New York University. Both proud parents shared the image on their respective Instagram handles and spoke about how proud they were that they were all together to celebrate the happy occasion.
