After the release of The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix, producers of television were able to produce a show which is anything that’s even close to horror. Hence, the audience who likes to watch some good horror films, are eagerly waiting for season two of The Haunting of Hill House. The iteration of the series is officially named as ‘The Haunting Of Bly Manor’.
One on-hand, due to the Corona pandemic, many Netflix shows such as The Witcher season two and Stranger Things Season four are at a halt. Filming of The Haunting of Hill House season two was wrapped a few days before the pandemic. The show’s post-production is likely to be affected, but the show is still on, and will soon arrive this year.
The audience was instantly hooked by the compelling story of this anthology series. The first season was loosely based on Shirley Jackson’s seminal horror novel of the same name. It followed the Crane family through the dual timeline in the titular mansion. In the past, the family slowly goes out of control, as supernatural and mysterious forces in the house drive Mrs. Crane to madness, while in the present, the death of the youngest daughter forces the family to confront the tragedy and trauma of their past.
Season one was appreciated by critics and viewers for its deep examination of grief and mental disorders. Both elements it handled with passion and grace. The haunting in season two will be of Bly house rather than to continue the story of Cranes or even Hill house the plot aims to rework Henry James, ‘ A Turn of the Screw’ in the original 1898 novella.
While the characters and locations will change for season two, it won’t be a completely new production. Show creators Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy are set to return along with the team, behind the scenes.
