Quarantine Made Alexandra Mardell of Coronation Fame to Dye her Hair in Bright Purple shade!

Alexandra Mardell has joined the list of celebrities coloring their locks at home during the lockdown. The trend seems to be of coloring the hair in Hot Pink color. But Alexandra opted for a different color. Ali, as she known in her friend circle, recently dyed her curly hair in a shade of bright purple. She shared the image of her hair transformation on her Instagram with a caption ‘Quarantine made me do it’.

Who is Alexandra Mardell? 

Alexandra Mardell, or Ali plays the role of Emma Brooke on the show Coronation Street. She plays the role of a bubbly hairdresser. Alexandra recently turned 26. She met her boyfriend when she was 21, and recently moved in with him before the lockdown.

She shared a selfie of herself and her boyfriend. She sported a yellow V-neck top showcasing her bright purple curls and her boyfriend, Joe Parker sporting Icy Blue hair color.

Joe Parker also uploaded a story on Instagram of Alexandra sporting her new hairdo with a caption ‘Easter walk with purple head’.

What is Coronation Street about?

Coronation Street is a British television drama series. It is also popularly known as Corrie among the fans of the show. It has been airing since 1960 on ITV. The show centres around Coronation Street in Weatherfield, a fictional town. The town of Weatherfield is based on the inner-city Salford.

The show has dealt with numerous issues such as rape, incest, homosexuality, abuse, PTSD, mental illness, pregnancy, still birth, surrogacy, identity theft, cancer, drug addiction, compulsive hoarding, among others throughout its run.

On 7 February 2020, the show marked its 10,000th episode. The show has gone on a hiatus owing to the COVID-19 lockdown.
