The How to Train Your Dragon, actor pens a short story in the latest issue of Deadpool: Black, White and Blood
Before we proceed, know that there will be spoilers from Deadpool: Black, White & Blood #3.
Another day, another ridiculous but hilarious Deadpool story. However, the craziness takes a new level as Wade battles Nazi nuns to save a bunch of penguins. Sounds just like something Ryan Reynolds will think of. But no, this mini story was written by Hollywood star Jay Baruchel. The story was featured in the latest issue of the Deadpool: Black, White & Blood miniseries.
The story
Titled, “The Worst Convent in The World,” the story is illustrated by Paco Medina and written by Baruchel. Apparently, Wade has an undisclosed love for penguins, and wants his very own. To do so, he trespasses into a “penguin convent” where he comes across nuns who are much more evil than he expected.
The story contains a killer twist on the old riddle, “What’s black, white, and read all over?” But since it’s Deadpool, it was changed to “What’s red and black and dead all over?” The story starts when Deadpool kills a group of cartel gunmen for a hotel manager, as they killed his tourists. However, Wade wants to be paid in a different method other than cash. He demands a live pemguin. The manager said he purchased a penguin named “Penguin,” from a convent of nuns in the Himalayas, but never heard back. So he urges Wade to backpack to the Himalayas and get it on his own.
Armed with more than just a rosary and holy water
Deadpool gets in, but finds the nuns armed with a crazy number of assault rifles and plenty of cocaine around. When he asks, they admit they were drug-addicted Nazis who got hold of a bunch of penguins and don’t know what to do next. Then begins a kill fest where Wade slaughters them all and frees Penguin and his friends.
The story should be included in one of the craziest Deadpool stories, and Baruchel and Medina should be commended for their efforts. Check it out.
