QUAKE REMASTER TO BE OFFICIALLY RELEASED ON PS5 AND XBOX SERIES X/S

Ready for a trip down memory lane?

Over the past years, we have heard reports of classic games getting reworks so that gamers can play it in new consoles. And now, it’s the turn of Quake, one of the first shooters whose special element was violence and gore. The game underwent numerous changes, such as improved analog controllers, aim smoothing, and other stuff. However, the twist is that it can be played on consoles with mouse and keyboard controls. This includes the Nintendo Switch as well.

The gameplay

Quake can support 4K/ 120fps gameplay, and is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S. Developer Bethesda says the upgrade does not have a time limit and is doable as per your requirements.

Along with the increased framework, Quake will also work well with the PS5 Dualsense controller’s adaptive triggers and integrated speaker. When it comes to Xbox, the players get Play Anywhere support. It’s Microsoft technology that can carry ownership of the game and progress automatically to PC.

Another difference is that the upgrade will get an automatic installation on Xbox. However, PS5 players will have to download it via the game’s hub or PlayStation Store. Unfortunately, PS4 saves cannot transfer to the PS5 version.

Other expansions

In the remastered package, the original expansions are included. These include The Scourge of Armagon and Dissolution of Eternity. An update for Dimension of the Past will also be available. It was released as part of the franchise’s 20th anniversary. In fact, for players who want a bigger challenge, the developers have included Dimension of the Machine.

In conclusion, don’t forget to order your copy and relive your childhood.
