The change in the overnight star

Known as “The Child” in the show and “Baby Yoda” throughout the internet, the character was one of the biggest highlights of the show, and became the source of many memes as well. People applauded the new characters who were introduced during the Disney era and enjoyed seeing Baby Yoda and the battle-hardened Mando’s interactions throughout the show.

In season two, we see them continuing their journey from where they left of in the first season, but a single scene in the trailer brought everyone’s attention to something that could possibly be of major significance. In the scene, Mando is preparing for a battle and is attaching his whistling bird weapon to his wrist, we see Baby Yoda pushing the button to close the lid of the egg-shaped hovering carrier that they travel in. The scene was intended as a joke as it was a big contrast to how Baby Yoda used to react whenever Mando was in a pinch. So we see him not using the Force to save him anymore.

In season 1, when Mando was attacked by the Mudhorn, Baby Yoda used the Force to lift it off the ground and even intervened during an arm wrestling match. From this fans have concluded that Baby Yoda trusts Mando a lot more and only relies on the Force only when there is no other way out.
