Season 2 will start airing by the end of the week and will be titled as The Alienist: Angel of Darkness
The Alienist season one aired in January 2018 and now, after two years, we will be getting the second season. The Alienist season two will be airing in the US network TNT from July 19th, 2020, and will be coming to Netflix later as well. Daniel Brühl will be returning as Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, and Luke Evans and Dakota Fanning will also be playing their roles of John Moore and Sara Howard respectively.

In season two, the show is going to adapt the second novel by Caleb Carr, titled The Angel of Darkness. Season one had ten episodes, while season two is going to be slightly smaller, with eight episodes. As per reports by Futon Critic, the finale for season two is going to air on August 9th, 2020. This means it may either start streaming in Netflix a day after coming in TNT or it can extend up to August or September this year, so that the full series will be available for binge watching as that is the audience that Netflix caters to.

The show will also start streaming on HBO Max and Netflix isn’t it’s official streaming site. In case you’re unaware, TNT is owned by WarnerMedia, so it’s not surprising for it to stream simultaneously in HBO Max. It is very likely going to be the official streaming home for the show in case more seasons come out.
