The Mandalorian Season 3 Set Photos Reveal a New Unknown Mandalorian

The unknown person is seen wearing Mandalorian armour and a jetpack

Production for Disney+‘s third season of The Mandalorian is currently underway, and we have finally got some set photos. In the photos, we see an unidentified character in Mandalorian armour. Sadly, we won’t know the identity for another year, as we have Robert Rodriguez’s The Book of Boba Fett spin-off series arriving in 2022. Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) is only likely to return in late 2022 or early 2023.

In the images shared by Bespin Bulletin on Instagram, we see a new character in a rust-coloured armour at a massive set erected for The Mandalorian. We are not sure if it’s a new actor or a stunt man, but he did have a jetpack attached to his back, which was unmistakably the Mandalorian design.

Season 2 of the Disney+ series had one of the biggest endings ever, as we see a digitally de-aged Luke Skywalker take possession of Grogu (Baby Yoda). We also know that the Darksaber will be the highlight of the next season after Din won it in the battle against Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito).

What will happen in season 3 of The Mandalorian?

Din will have some conflict against Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), who had briefly been his ally in the second season. Bo-Katan had made it very clear throughout the season that once they defeat Gideon and his crew, the Darksaber and the subsequent rulership over Mandalore will go to her. But now that Din has legitimate ownership over it, she may demand a duel or some challenge so that she can ascend the throne.

The mystery character we have seen on set will be one of many, since season 3 looks to introduce more Mandalorians to the mix. So gear up for season 3.
