The Axis Unseen comes from a Bethesda Softworks veteran
Nathan Purkeypile, a Bethesda Softworks veteran who had been part of titles like Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, along with being the lead artist on Fallout 76 had just showed his latest baby from his new studio, Just Purkey Games. Titled The Axis Unseen, the game is a dark fantasy, heavy-metal, open world first person hunting game. Wow, never expected such a long genre. The game utilizes Epic Games’ new Unreal Engine 5, so you know that the graphics can blow your mind.
About the game
The trailer of The Axis Unseen showed the mysterious main character clutching a bow and arrows and walking through some picturesque locations, while hunting and solving unknown clues. Monolithic structures, dark caves featuring massive skulls, and a huge wooden creature that looks like a lifeless Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy are seen in the trailer.
Purkeypile has stated that the events happen in a world trapped outside of time, and you will survive by upgrading your bow and senses. He added that the player must reach shelter before nightfall, because our character is being hunted by something as well.
Remember when it was mentioned that the game will contain heavy metal? Well, they do, and it’s performed by Clifford Meyer, a music industry veteran who had been part of ISIS, Red Sparowes, Windmills by the Ocean, and a solo project named Taiga.
We have no word on the release date, but the game can be wishlisted on Steam. Purkeypile has been dropping hints on his Twitter feed for several days, so we can expect him to follow suit when the official trailer is ready.
The Axis unseen becomes another highly anticipated games for the gamers.
