The best part is that there are is one more movie coming
Sony has released a first look at the sequel of 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One), the trailer stunned us once more with the clean animation, and also the part where the sequel is going to be divided into two parts.
The events
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse begins where the first movie left off: Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) lying on bed when a portal opens and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) pops out. She invites him for the next big world-saving gig and we see Miles going across different dimensions, with a variety of art styles. He even gets into a fist fight with Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac), who had appeared in the post-credit scene of the first movie. But then again, Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099 has a fight with just about every Spider-Man variant he meets.
The movie’s synopsis states that Miles will once again team up with Gwen and travel across Multiverses to join forces with a new team of Spider-people to face off against a villain who is more powerful than anyone they’ve ever seen. Sony has remained tight-lipped about who this mystery villain will be, but whoever they are, one movie isn’t enough to contain the threat they pose. We are yet to see if Miles’ old team consisting of Peter Parker, Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker, and Spider-Ham will return, but fingers crossed.
