One of the biggest changes will be that we would not be seeing Skeet Ulrich, who plays FP Jones and Marisol Nichols, who plays Hermione Lodge return for the fifth season. Both the actors had confirmed the reports and in February.

Skeet said that he was proud to be part of such a talented group of individuals, be it the actors or the crew members. But now he will be leaving it all behind and exploring other creative opportunities.

Nichols also talked about the wonderful experience she had in bringing Hermione Lodge to life and working with a great cast who became like family for her. She also thanked the show’s fans and the support they have given all these years.

Apart from the exit of these characters, we will see changes in the romantic relationships of Betty, Jughead, Archie, and Veronica.

In season 4 we got to see Archie and Betty rekindle their childhood romance without Jughead or Veronica being aware of it. We will be seeing it’s continuation, and possibly, its consequences in season 5.

As for the plot, it will be centered around the mysterious tapes that were found towards the end of season 4.

The show will be releasing in October 2020, but will be delayed if the pandemic continues.
