Nazanin Boniadi shows support for protests in Iran, demands justice for Mahsa Amini
Most of us have read or heard about Mahsa Amini by now. The 22-years-old Irish Kurdish woman was arrested and short from a peaceful protest on September 13 for violating the draconian dress code for the woman based on “morality police”. Mahsa who was shot during the protest entered into a coma and died after 3 days due to her peaceful protest.
Nazanin Boniadi, British actress from Iranian descent has shown outrage over the brutal murder. The Rings of Power Actress is demanding justice for the 22-years-old Mahsa who lost her life.
Mahsa Amini’s family claimed that she had no pre-existing health condition and that her death was caused solely due to the abuse done by the security officers. Other protesters who were there with her also claimed that she was beaten by the police officer severely and Mahsa Amini begged them to have mercy over her which the security officer showed deaf ears.
The Injustice that isn’t amended yet
This incident happened 2 months ago and there is no justice concerning her, rather she was charged with Morality police also showed whoever tried to take a step like going against the dress code of a woman will have the same fate. The peaceful protest was beaten severely by the police to showcase how brutal the security forces can be.
The rising fire
Since these incidents and injustice against Mahsa Amini who lead the first women’s protest in Iranian history, the more such protest had been fueled by women burning their compulsory hijab and cutting their hair and men also supporting them.
The rise of support for the protest
The past two months have seen the rise of many Iranian women as well as the support of many international actors and actresses who are giving homage to this brave soul of Mahsa Amini.
Nazanin Boniadi came forward to support her people from her homeland
As for Lord of Rings: Ring of Power actress, Nazanin Boniadi, is in full support of the Iranian women and said they should continuously stand for themselves and not get oppressed by the officials. She further said that she can understand the need for freedom for Iranian women and fully support them. As for Mahsa Amini, she had played a role of a leader and motivated the other woman as well. The actress was seen to put tweets under the #MahsaAmini and inspiring the women to fight against the oppressor in their homeland.
