“Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War” : With Season 3 Confirmed, Creators Teases Major Updates

Miyuki and Kaguya mind games to continue in 2022

Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War is confirmed to be back with a new trailer. The official Twitter account of the series has released a 9-minute teaser trailer of the new season. The new season sets the date of April 2022. On October 20th, the new visual and trailer were released. The new season is adapted from manga Chapter 110 of the original manga Aka Akasaka. The date is not yet confirmed but will be revealed soon. The 10- minute preview of the first episode was directly aired on The Aniplex YouTube channel. 

The short episode shows the characters discussing their favorite manga and anime adaptations that were based on them. The third and new season will also have a new title Kaguya-Sama: Love Is War – Ultra Romantic. With the return of the series, the manga will also return for the final arc of the story. 

Synopsis of the series

The series started airing in 2019 and has been well received by the viewers. The series follows the story of student council president Miyuki Shirogane, a working-class student but overachiever. And vice president Kaguya Shinomiya, who comes from a wealthy family. Both of them appear to be a perfect couple but are too proud to confess their love but have the scheme to make others confess first. The two of them engage in mind games to get one another to confess their feelings first. Their mind games often drag other members too, such as Otaku Yu Ishigami and Chika Fujiwara. 

The Japanese anime series is very well received. The second season was awarded the Anime of the year in 2020 by fans. The first two seasons are available to watch on Funimation, Hulu, and Crunchyroll.
