Disney Branded Television are planning for ‘Intercats’ an animated cat workplace comedy!
‘Intercats’ is an animated comedy from Baobab Studios, whose screenwriter is Pamela Ribon who is well known for her works in ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet, Moana’ and will be premiered on Disney+. According to the logline, Intercats is about the famous trend going on in internet in which extremely funny cat videos go viral. The series will also feature a group of cats who wishes to get everything they want, from their indepenedency to whatever they want to do.
In order to achieve their goals, the cats need to learn to handle their relationships and a sense of living together without fighting and also work for the viral cat videos. The drama will be a fun one to watch, as the drama is something about leadership qualities and unity.
The creator of the series is Eric Darnell, who also happens to be the co-founder and the chief executive producer of Baobab Studios of ‘Intercats’ including Gary Mash as the executive producer and Jony Chandra as the director.
According to reports, Meredith Roberts who is the EVP TV animation said that “We’re fortunate to be partnering with Baobab for a second time’. She also expressed gratitude for working with Pamela Ribon and called her ‘smart, sly, sophisticated’ with inspiring humor which will ensures that Intercats will provide wild fun.
She further adds, “We’re thrilled to have her on this project — and to expand the relationship to include an overall deal with our Disney TV Animation studio.”
Ribon is well known for her proficiency in animation. She has been awarded the Annecy International Animation Film Festival’s 2022 Cristal Award for writing Ralph Breaks the Internet and Moana and Smurfs: The Lost Village.
