Hunter x Hunter Manga’s Return Confirmed, Assistant Reveals New Details

The long hiatus is over, and the return is imminent

Hunter x Hunter is right up there with Naruto and One Piece as one of the best shonen mangas to exist. While Naruto has moved on to spinoffs and One Piece is still ongoing, Hunter x Hunter creator Yoshiro Togashi decided to go on hiatus due to his poor health. But he suddenly popped up with a new Twitter account and said that he had a few completed chapters and will be releasing them soon. The fandom also woke up, as if from a deep sleep, but still excited. Read on.

The manga went on hiatus in 2018 from Weekly Shonen Jump, and at the time Togashi said he had about four chapters left. This left fans curious as to what he meant. One of his assistants stepped up to clarify what he meant. The mangaka had said that each time he returns from hiatus, he will publish 10 chapters. He has completed six out of those ten, and now four remain.

In his tweet, Togashi shared how his work is shaping up to me. It became clear that he is continuing with the Succession Contest arc, and fans got really excited. However, the arc had only begun back in 2018, and we have no room to speculate which direction it can go.

The manga returning immediately gives room for the anime to make a comeback. Also, most of the series that began around this series has come to an end, while others are still ongoing. But given that it’s Hunter x Hunter, you know that it will make sure the other shows and mangas stay on its toes with the amount of competition it will bring.
