EXO’s Kai Confirms First Solo Comeback by the End of November

The singer debuted as a soloist in November last year

Exo member Kai has confirmed to return with new solo music in November.

The news was reported by South Korean outlet SPOTV News on October 26. It said that the singer is busy preparing for a “solo album” and will return sometime in “late November.”

The report was later confirmed by Kai’s label SM Entertainment. In a statement to Mydaily, the label also stated that Kai will make his comeback with a solo album in November. We haven’t received any information on the exact date, or the nature of the album. But it can be expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

Kai’s first solo album came with ‘KAI (开)’. It was a mini album, and featured the lead single ‘Mmmh’ along with five other B-side tracks.

The singer, whose real name is Kim Jong-in, debuted in the K-pop boy band EXO in 2014. EXO’s first album was ‘Mama,’ which released in both Korean and Chinese in the same year. Their last album came out in June, called ‘Don’t Fight The Feeling’ which featured a title song by the same name. The group members had gone out on their own paths in between, and Kai is the sixth member to release a solo project. The others who released before him were Chen, Lay, Baekhyun, and Suho. Following Kai’s debut in November 2020, D.O made his highly-anticipated solo debut in July 2021.
