BTS’ Jung Kook to lit the stage at upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar

BTS’ youngest member to rock at the Opening Ceremony of FIFA World Cup, 2022 which will take place in the Al Bayt Stadium in Doha, Qatar, with BTS’s Jung Kook performing during the ceremony, as well as participating in a scoreboard to promote the upcoming football tournament. 

This morning (12th of November), the official Twitter account of BTS announced that fellow member Jung Kook would be one of the performers in Sunday’s opening ceremony, contributing to the tournament’s official score. The singer, who was nominated for Grammy, was set to contribute celestial vocals to this year’s 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.

Recently with reference to several images and shorts going viral on social media, Jung Kook is spotted in Qatar shooting probably for his song.

After BTS announced its indefinite break from activities in order to focus on its solo career earlier in the year, Jungkook, BTS’s youngest member, was the first member to drop solo music. Just days after BTS went on hiatus, K-pop star Jungkook announced a collaborative effort with Charlie Puth, “Left And Right”. The collaborative single between K-pop star Jungkook and the American singer-songwriter has been topping music charts worldwide.

Around eight different stadiums around Doha will be organized to conduct matches between teams. The final match will be on December 18, and the hosted city of the FIFA World Cup, Qatar, will bring on its team against Ecuador on 20 November 2022.

Adding on, the festival will be filled up with different cuisines, local culture, and entertainment to keep soccer fans engaged in between games. While BTS member Jung Kook is scheduled to perform during the Opening Ceremony, other performances will be held at FIFA Fan Fest, beginning November 22nd with Diplo, and running until December 10, with Calvin Harris scheduled to close out the festival.
