BIGBANG member Taeyang and his actress wife Min Hyo-rin have welcomed their first child, as reported by Hankook Ilbo. Later on, Taeyang’s agency YG Entertainment confirmed the news, saying Min Hyo-rin had given birth to a healthy son.
Min Hyo-rin’s pregnancy was confirmed in September by her agency Plum A&C, who stated that she is “happily waiting for her birth.”
Dating and marriage
Taeyang, 33, met Min Hyo-rin, 35, first in 2014, while shooting for his music video “1 AM.” He had debuted as a BIGBANG member in 2006, while she debuted as a model of a clothing brand in the same year. The couple announced that they were dating in 2015. During a separate interview, Taeyang said that his wife was his first love and first girlfriend.
They announced their wedding on December 18, 2017, with Taeyang writing to his fans as well as his BIGBANG team members, expressed his thanks, and asked for their support in their future as a couple. He is also the first BIGBANG member to become a father. They got married at the Paradise City Hotel and Resort in Incheon, and on March 12, 2018, Taeyang enlisted in the military. He got discharged in November 2019, and they now reside in a villa in Hannam-dong, Seoul.

BIGBANG currently has 4 members: T.O.P, Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung, and they haven’t reunited since 2019. All 4 members had renewed their contracts with YG, but nothing is happening so far. All their 2020 plans were disrupted due to COVID-19.
A fan association of the group has now criticized that YG Entertainment is not doing its job as a label, and that they start giving attention to the band and managing the fandom.
