The cause of death is yet to be determined
Aaron Carter, an actor, singer, and rapper, who is famous for being the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, has died. He was 34.
The news was reported on Saturday, and a representative from Carter’s team added that they’re still trying to determine the cause of death. They said that they were just as sad as everybody and hoped that the fans would give their thoughts and prayers to his family. Carter was apparently found dead by someone at his residence in Lancaster, California, and the Los Angeles county police were called soon after.
About Aaron Carter
Aaron Carter was an opener for the Backstreet Boys on multiple tours and concerts and had a pretty successful solo career as well. He began performing at the tender age of seven and even released his self-titled debut album in 1997, when he was just nine years old. He followed it up with 2000’s Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), which went on to get triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Aside from supporting his brother’s band, Aaron Carter also supported Britney Spears on Her Oops!… I Did It Again tour.
He later went on to the rap genre and even took up acting. He starred in the comedy series Lizzie McGuire and made his broadway debut with 2001’s Seussical The Musical.
History With Drugs
Aaron Carter, like many celeb kids, had been going through addiction. In 2017, he appeared on a US talk show known as The Doctors, where he tested positive for prescription drugs that he had been taking for anxiety and sleep. He checked himself into a rehab facility after that. In 2013, he filed for bankruptcy after failing to pay taxes to the government. In 2019, his brother Nick had a temporary restraining order against him, alleging that Aaron threatened to kill Nick’s pregnant wife.
Aaron’s final album was 2018’s Love.
