David Harbour was spotted as well, proving that Hopper’s alive and kicking
Season 4 of Netflix original Stranger Things is currently underway and new set photos have come up. From the photos, fans are trying to decode where the gang had ended up following Season 3’s ending.
The photos were shared by Just Jared and we see the Scoops Ahoy Gang – consisting of Robin (Maya Hawke) and Steve (Joe Keery) at a video store with Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Max (Sadie Sink). From Steve’s outfit, it looks like he is working there as well.
Other findings
Max is seen with a cassette player tucked into her jeans, while Steve looks surprisingly happy after everything that happened during the Battle of Starcourt Mall. There’s also a new character in the cast. Maybe Steve, who isn’t very lucky when it comes to love, just got her number and that’s why he’s all smiles.
We have no idea about the Byers family as they have left Hawkins in the fourth season. What we can confirm is that David Harbour’s fan favourite character Jim Hopper is still alive. His fate was a big question mark after he was captured and imprisoned somewhere in Russia. The first look teaser for Stranger Things season 4 showed a bald-headed Hopper in a Russian prison.
Season 3’s ending was a major cliffhanger as we see Hopper sacrificing his life to close the gate between our world and the Upside Down. His body was never shown afterwards, so chances of him dying were looking pretty slim. When Entertainment Tonight interviewed Harbour on the fate of his character, he revealed that he had no idea and he hopes he’s still alive.
Sadly, we still don’t have a date as to when season 4 will release, but we will be updating as soon as an announcement is made.
