The teaser was a zoomed-in image of the animatronic little girl named Yong-hee that appeared when “Red Light, Green Light” was taking place. With that came the song, which is equally famous. All social media handles for Netflix captioned it, “Red light…GREENLIGHT! Squid Game is officially coming back for Season 2!”

Along with this wonderful news came a message from the creator Hwang Dong Hyuk. He was also the director, writer, and executive producer for season 1. In his message, Hwang Dong Hyuk confirmed that Gi-hun (Lee Jung Jae) and the Front Man (Lee Byung Hun) will be returning. He also teased that Gong Yoo, the mysterious man in the suit might make a comeback. What’s also interesting is that Young-hee, the doll, has a boyfriend named Cheol-sun, and he will be introduced in the series. It’s a hint for another animatronic that could cause doom to the contestants of the next round.

Hwang Dong-Hyuk also made sure to thank the fans for making the show so big, as it was something he was trying to make for 12 years.
