Get ready to meet Junker Queen!
Overwatch 2 has been given a whole new look by Blizzard Entertainment. As part of the announcement, new trailers, a release date, and a whole new hero was also shown.
Overwatch 2 Tank: Junker Queen
Along with the announcements came a trailer for the new hero, Junker Queen. She is a tank-class hero, who can wield an axe as well as a shotgun. In the trailer showing off her fight abilities, we can see her switching between the axe and the shotgun, and has a special skill that launches her towards an enemy while spinning her axe – yes, just like Thor.
In her cinematic trailer, we see her entering a massive arena resembling a Thunderdome, and getting ready to face off against three tough-looking opponents. One of them is known as Junker King, meaning this can be an origin story of how she got her name. The trailer ended with a “To Be Continued,” meaning we will see the full story being played out before the game is out. Junker Queen is the second new character to show up in Overwatch 2, after Sojourn, who was announced earlier.
What’s To Come
In the Overwatch 2 Twitter page, we got to see that there will be even more information announced during the Overwatch 2 Reveal Event Livestream, which will happen on June 16 between 10 am PT and 1 pm ET. Mike Ybarra, President of Blizzard Entertainment announced that all iconic heroes will be reimagined, with new gameplay and maps.
And here’s the information for players: Early access for the game begin on October 4, so look forward to it!
