With a month left until release, the new trailer showed the new supernatural events that Addams teenager will face after joining Nevermore Academy. The aesthetic of the series perfectly matches Burton’s love for all things gothic. The nostalgic charm of the original series by Barry Sonnenfeld. We see Wednesday sharing her inner thoughts about how she enjoys scaring people, but things turn bad when a mysterious figure tries to frame her for all the bad things happening at the academy. Now it’s up to her to clear her name and have a school year without any crazy shenanigans.

The series boasts a stellar cast that consists of Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Isaac Ordonez as Gomez, Morticia, and Pugsley Addams, respectively. Additional cast members include Riki Lindhome, Gwendoline Christie, and Percy Hynes White.

However, the most exciting announcement is, you guessed it, Christina Ricci. Ricci played Wednesday in 1991’s The Addams Family and brought the character to the popularity she enjoys today. Ricci joining the cast was announced earlier this year, without any further information. But in the trailer, we see that she will be playing a teacher at the academy, and not an older version of the main character as most fans hoped. However, surprising things have happened before, so watch out for Wednesday as it premieres on Netflix on November 23.
