Now that God has finally entered the scene, what will happen?
Lucifer has become one of Netflix’s biggest shows after they picked it up from Fox after the latter cancelled it after its third season. They released season 4 on May 8th, 2019 and recently, season 5 arrived on August 21st, 2020.
Lucifer had been trending ever since and we also got its complete soundtrack guide for the latest season. The series has the biggest TV debut on Netflix since the top 10 feature was introduced on the platform earlier this year.
Season 5 part 2 details
The episode titles for the new season were announced in March 12th this year. The production is set to restart in September. It was believed that most of part 2 was already filmed until Tom Ellis contradicted it, saying, “We were about halfway through it. So we go back, we start with that, and then we go straight into season 6.”
In late June, we got news that production on part 2 is set to begin sometime in October 2020. There are also reports of some reshoots happening since the creators weren’t originally going to make a sixth season. And now that season six has been confirmed, we know that they will be shooting it along with part 2.
As for the release date of Lucifer Season 5 part 2, we expect it to arrive on the second or third quarter of 2021. That means the sixth season will arrive either in late 2021 or early 2022.
As for the cast, we know that Dennis Haysbert will be playing a big role as God, and Alison McAtee will be guest starring as Elizabeth Newman in episode 14. Catherine Dent will be appearing in a musical episode as Dr. Alice Porter.
Now all that’s left is the waiting part before we binge on the next season.
