The Witches: is the Famous Fantasy Comedy Movie Arriving on Streaming Giant Netflix? Full Details Below

Sadly, you will not be able to watch it in Netflix, but we will be providing the other sites where you can stream it

The Witches is a fantasy-comedy movie inspired by the children’s novel written by Roald Dahl of the same name. The movie is produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis.

The reason everyone expected it to arrive on Netflix was because the streaming giant made an announcement that they will be adapting a majority of Dahl’s works, so it was sort of a given that this movie will be included in the list, since the novel was a bestseller.

The first The Witches movie came in 1990 and was a big hit, so the new adaptation, starring Anne Hathaway as the Grand High Witch has a lot to live up to.

The story is set in Alabama in the ’60s and starts when an orphaned boy living with his grandmother comes across a coven of evil witches. Their plan was to rid the world of children, and when the boy discovers their secret, the Grand High Witch turns him into a mouse. Despite that, he still works on stopping their plan.

Since the movie will not be coming to Netflix, here’s where you can stream it; the movie is available exclusively on HBO Max. The plan was to have a theatrical release, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the plan was cancelled and instead will be available on HBO Max from Thursday, 22nd October. It will be having a limited theatrical release from October 28.

For now, it’s not available on any other platform, but for the UK audience, it is likely to be available soon on services like NOW TV and Sky Movies.
