A Promising Sequel

Spider-Man was undoubtedly one of the best games in 2018, and being a PlayStation 4 exclusive, it boosted sales as well. Insomniac gained some major recognition, and is currently one of the biggest names in the gaming industry. Insomniac had been developing games for nearly 20 years for the PlayStation consoles, and in 2019, Sony fully acquired the studio.

In the first game, we see a 23-year-old Peter Parker, who faces one of the biggest challenges ever, both in his personal life, and as Spider-Man. We saw him fighting against pretty much all the villains in his rogues gallery. The story ended with Peter’s friend Harry Osbourne being treated for some mysterious illness with the Venom symbiote.

A relatively smaller spin-off came afterwards, as part of the PlayStation 5’s release in November 2020. Miles is the protagonist and becomes New York’s protector in Peter’s absence. Spider-Man: Miles Morales also contained the same heart and emotions as it’s prequel and made the universe’s future much more promising.
