After Assasin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft is out with its next golden goose
We got a new Far Cry game, and we can see a known face in it as well. Yes, Giancarlo Esposito, the man who became known worldwide through his portrayal of Gustavo Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul has just made his video game debut, and thanks to motion capture, we not only hear him, but see him as well.

Esposito will be playing a ruthless dictator named Anton Castillo, from the island of Yara, located in the Caribbeans.

The trailer resembled the trailer of a Netflix show and we got to see straight away about the present state of Yara, and how people decided to revolt after enduring Castillo’s opression. Yara is a country that is said to be “frozen in time” because of economic sanctions and isolationism, and the Presidente’s ambition to restore it to its formal glory was through violent means that made the people revolt.

In the trailer, we see Castillo speaking to his young son about how to manage a country, even if the country is against them, and that one day, it’s his job to take his father’s position. It ended with him handing a grenade to his son and asking him to throw it to the mob protesting below.
You will be playing as Dani Rojas, who is a Yaran native and is part of the faction that is planning to overthrow the Presidente and free Yara. You will be teaming up guerilla factions and face off against the Presidente’s army in a battle through Yara’s rural and urban areas, and hopefully, it will end with us overthrowing Castillo.
