Dying Light 2 Releases Surprise DLC Over the Weekend, Called the Authority Pack

It’s also free

Techland, the developers of the zombie-survival game Dying Light 2, has released a new DLC. And it has arrived right when the weekend rolled in. The game promised some story-driven DLC’s in the future, but since it came out recently, players will be getting smaller ones. Since it’s small, it was also available to download for free.

Now, let’s take a look at it.

The new DLC is known as the Authority Pack, and it is now available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS4. As mentioned earlier, the DLC is not connected to the story, but instead, offers a weapons and costumes.

As seen in the trailer, the pack comes with a chestpiece, joggers, sneakers, headgear, bracers, gloves, and a weapon. The weapon resembles a hammer, with a twin-turbo engine attached at the end. It doesn’t give off any special explosive effects, but you can take down multiple enemies in a single swing. The item and clothing will definitely make you look cooler while eliminating rival gangs or zombies.

It’s a good thing that Techland did not add a story DLC, as Dying Light 2 is a huge game, and players are still playing it. However, we are not sure if the DLC has an expiration date as it was not mentioned in the trailer. Either way, players are advised to claim it as soon as possible.

Dying Light 2 starts off slow, but before long, you are hurled into the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Players get to glide, zip-line, or just shoot and chop their way through danger. The story is rich, the characters have depth, and the combat is like nothing you’ve seen before.
