Who All Are Trending This Grammy? Are Women Rappers Missing From The List?

It seems like when it comes to hip hop, the Recording Academy misses its mark so frequently that there is always a probability to be baffled by its choices! It is in the rap category where the Grammy truly shines. This year too the old process is trending!

Who All Are Going To Be Trending This Grammy?

Due to all the elaborate shenanigans and public narrative and major label extravaganza, the hip hop category only allows one or two women to succeed at one time. Although this time, many women who have since this category has come up the head.

These names include Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Rico Nasty, Rapsody,  Doja Cat, and City Girls all joined Nicki Minaj and Cardi B as genuine big sensations in power, but surprisingly were also shut out from any Grammy nominations.

There are no women lead artist in an album or a song, in a year where there was plenty to choose from. The closest woman who was nominated is Cardi B, she is nominated for Best Rap Performance” for a feature on Offset’s “Clout.

Furthermore, there is surely a certain problematic area that calls for our attention. For instance, Lizzo has nominations spread out in Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Performance, Best Urban Contemporary Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance. In a deleted tweet she demanded to be part of the hip-hop conversation in August. She wrote that sometimes she gets pissed that there are people who call Future & Swae Lee rappers and still question whether or not she belongs in the rap conversation.
