The letter was written after accusations of her involvement in the deaths of her daughter and son-in-law
Brittany Murphy’s death in 2009 was a tragedy and was a cause for much discussion later on, which continues to this day. The actress, known for her roles in Clueless, Just Married, and 8 Mile had endured a lot of pain in her last days, which was a result of a stunted career, and many health problems.
Her coroner revealed that the actress died from pneumonia, an iron deficiency and from intoxication caused by multiple drugs. One of the major puzzles was that her husband Simon Monjack had died in a similar fashion in less than a year.
Accusations dealt by the mother
It was Brittany’s mother Sharon who dialed 911 when she came across her daughter lying dead in their Hollywood Hills mansion. After Monjack’s death, Sharon was a subject of many accusations involving the deaths of the two, and one of which also stated that she had an affair with Monjack.
Brittany’s father Angelo Bertolotti had difficulty in accepting his daughter’s death and wasn’t willing to believe that she died of natural causes, so he requested for the case to be investigated further, and alleged that Sharon had poisoned her in some way. However, after examining her hair strand, it was found that she died of natural courses.
Regarding Sharon and Brittany’s relationship, Hollywood Reported revealed that things were strange between them, and they referred to each other as ‘soulmates.’ Brittany put her career on hold twice while her mother was battling breast cancer and even “camped out in her mom’s hospital room”.
In her letter, Sharon revealed that they will never know for sure if the actress died of natural causes, but will have to trust the words of the coroner. Her involvement in her daughter’s death will continue to be a mystery.
