The hit show Supernatural has had a good, long run. Some might say a bit too long. But as all good things come to an end, so will Supernatural.
The show after a stellar run of 15 seasons is finally premiering its last season. And in this final installment, the series goes back to its 14-year history for a proper goodbye.
In particular, the Woman in White will make a dramatic entrance again. If you are a true fan, you will remember that the pilot episode of Supernatural opened with the same apparition. Sam and Dean go on a quest to find their missing father and chance upon the spirit.
The Woman in White is the epitome of the scorned woman. The beautiful spirit got deceived in real life by her lover, which resulted in her descent into madness. She ends up killing her children and then herself. And so, the tortured soul roams around trapping men with her beauty.
She also joins the brothers together and is the catalyst to their demon-hunting adventures. After that, the brothers face numerous other monstrosities and the Woman in White fades into a hazy memory.
But she hasn’t forgotten. In the finale of season 14, we got hints the White Woman is going to return after 15 years. And the new trailer for season 15 confirms it. Although Dean and Sam took care of her in the first season, she is here for revenge.
And with her return comes a question – which other past monsters will make their way into the 15th season? Are the brothers going to face old demons as well as new?
This comeback makes sense in one way. With the spirit’s reappearance, the show comes full circle. The journey of the Winchester brothers started with the White Woman and so ends with her as well.
Catch the final season premiering on October 10 on The CW.
