New year, new family
Netflix’s exciting superhero series, The Umbrella Academy, will be returning later this year, and while we haven’t received a teaser, we do have some new character posters. In fact, usually when a show releases such posters, a trailer will be released within a week or two, so watch out for that.
Anyway, we have some new characters who are members of the Sparrow Academy, and here are their official looks from season 3 of The Umbrella Academy!
The story so far
The Umbrella Academy tells the story of seven superpowered adopted siblings who are tasked with saving the world from the apocalypse. The story is based on the comic books of the same name by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. Adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreaves, the seven tried stopping the apocalypse in real time in season 1, and when that failed, travelled back in time to the 1960s to put a stop to in a different way in season 2.
Once they had dealt with that and came to the present timeline, a new set of troubles awaited them.
The Sparrows
The Sparrow Academy was the big cliffhanger ending of season 2. The Sparrows were a result of Umbrella Academy’s antics in the ’60s that caused a change in the timeline and led Sir Reginald to find a different group of gifted individuals. The Sparrows consist of Marcus (Justin Cornwell), Ben (Justin H. Min), Fei (Britne Oldford), Alphonso (Jake Epstein), Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez), Jayme (Cazzie David), and Christopher, who is an Existential Dread Inducing Psykronium Cube.
From the character posters, it is easy to see that the Sparrows are more roughed up with scars on No. 3 and No. 4’s faces. It won’t be a long shot to imagine that their personalities will be just as rough, and that they will be giving the Umbrella members a hard time.
