The Sci-Fi Hit Series ‘The Expanse’ to Have Season 5, as Announced by Amazon!

Amazon Prime Video has renewed the series The Expanse for another season. The Expanse was previously aired on the cable network Syfy. The first three seasons were aired on the network after which it was cancelled. It is based on the bestselling novel series by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck The Expanse.

Amazon reportedly picked up the series and released a fourth season. The fourth season was produced by Alcon Television Group.Season four will be available on Amazon Prime Video on 13th December 2020. The announcement of the fifth season was made in the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

Mark Fergus and Hawk Otsby were the developers and writers for the whole series. Naren Shankar, Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Laura Lancaster, Sharon Hall, Sean Daniel, Jason Brown, Daniel Abraham, Ty Franck, and Dan Nowak were the executive producers for the fourth season. Naren Shankar is the showrunner for the whole series of The Expansion.

What happens in season 4?

The fourth season goes on with the crew of the Rocinante trying to look for new worlds. They go further ahead of the Ring Gate on the orders of the United Nations. Humans have infiltrated a lot of planets which can harbour life. Due to this a lot of tension and conflicts have arisen between these planet-nations. There are different nations on Earth, Mars, and the Belt.

Ilus once homed an alien species which has been long extinct. And now the planet became the first to be inhabited by humans after the Earth. The planet poses a lot of challenges and dangers which are mostly unknown to the people of Earth, Mars, and the Belt who are trying to explore and inhabit it.

The Expanse has the star cast of Steven Strait, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Dominique Tipper, Cas Anvar, Wes Chatham, and Frankie Adams.
